Vintage Vivienne Tam strapless stretch-mesh gown from the SS 1998 collection, featured in a full-body tiger print inspired by traditional Tibetan tiger rugs. An identical version of this design was featured in the Fashion Institute of Technology’s 2022 exhibition "Asian Americans in New York Fashion" and is now part of the museum’s permanent collection.

Our collection consists of authentic vintage garments carefully curated and maintained in the best condition possible. As these pieces are not modern productions, they may exhibit signs of age and wear consistent with their history. Such characteristics are inherent to vintage fashion and are not considered damage. Renters will not be held responsible for pre-existing vintage wear present at the time of rental.
Each rental arrives freshly cleaned, pressed, and ready to wear. We handle all care, cleaning, and restoration so you never have to worry. Please do not launder, dry-clean or alter your rental.
To help keep your garment looking its best, please avoid direct contact with lotions, oils, self-tanner, perfumes, or makeup, as these products can leave marks on delicate fabrics. For wrinkles, gently steam on low heat, keeping the steamer at least 3" away to avoid heat damage. Please do not iron or apply direct heat.
If you notice a spot, stain, or small tear after wearing the piece, don’t worry-- and please do not try to treat it yourself. Our care team specializes in preserving vintage textiles, and we’ll happily handle any necessary cleaning or repairs.
Reasonable wear and tear is expected. Even if something comes back with a minor issue, as long as we can clean it and repair it, you're covered. And our preservation team is really good at what they do. Just treat the garments the way you'd treat your own. We only charge double full market value if an item is stolen or seriously, irresponsibly damaged beyond repair.

You can expect your rental via FedEx or UPS within 2-4 days. Isle of Monday provides pre-paid return labels and packaging for all rental orders.

You may cancel a rental order more than 21 days before the scheduled delivery date to receive a full refund to your original payment method, minus a $9.95 restocking fee. Cancellations made within 21 days of the scheduled delivery date will not be refunded; however, you will receive an account credit in the amount of your order total minus the restocking fee, which may be applied to future rentals. Once an Item has shipped, your order is considered final and may not be canceled.
If your piece doesn’t fit, please notify us within 12 hours of delivery at hello@isleofmondaynyc.com. You’ll receive credit toward a future rental in the form of a discount code, provided the item remains unworn beyond checking fit. After the 12-hour notification window has passed, the rental will be considered accepted and processed, and will no longer be eligible for fit-related credit.
