Vintage Gucci by Tom Ford dress from the FW 1999 runway, crafted in soft nude leather. Designed with an asymmetric halter neckline, the dress features gathered detailing that forms a sculptural rosette at the neck. Subtle diagonal seaming runs across the fitted silhouette, which falls to a clean knee-length hem. Famously seen on Carolyn Murphy on the FW 1999 runway, photographed by Guy Marineau, the collection was also featured throughout 1999 on Lisa Winkler in Gucci’s Mario Testino-lensed ad campaign, Kate Moss, and Carolyn Murphy in the September issue of US Vogue, as well as in the July issue of Allure US.

Our collection consists of authentic vintage garments carefully curated and maintained in the best condition possible. As these pieces are not modern productions, they may exhibit signs of age and wear consistent with their history. Such characteristics are inherent to vintage fashion and are not considered damage. Renters will not be held responsible for pre-existing vintage wear present at the time of rental.
Each rental arrives freshly cleaned, pressed, and ready to wear. We handle all care, cleaning, and restoration so you never have to worry. Please do not launder, dry-clean, pin, or alter your rental.
To help keep your garment looking its best, please avoid direct contact with lotions, oils, self-tanner, perfumes, or makeup, as these products can leave marks on delicate fabrics. For wrinkles, gently steam on low heat, keeping the steamer at least 3" away to avoid heat damage. Please do not iron or apply direct heat.
If you notice a spot, stain, or small tear after wearing the piece, please do not try to treat it yourself. Our care team specializes in preserving vintage textiles, and we handle any necessary cleaning or repairs.
Reasonable wear and tear is expected. However, please do not pin, clip, alter, hem, or otherwise modify the garment. Even small punctures from pins or adhesives can permanently damage delicate vintage fabrics and may require extensive restoration. If the fit isn't quite right, please reach out - we're always happy to help recommend a solution that won't compromise the integrity of the piece.

You can expect your rental via FedEx or UPS within 2-4 days. Isle of Monday provides pre-paid return labels and packaging for all rental orders.

You may cancel a rental order more than 21 days before the scheduled delivery date to receive a full refund to your original payment method minus a $9.95 fee. Cancellations made within 21 days of the scheduled delivery date will not be refunded; however, you will receive an account credit in the form of a gift card for the amount of your order total, minus a $9.95 fee. Once an Item has shipped, your order is considered final and may not be canceled.
If your piece doesn't fit, please notify us within 12 hours of delivery at hello@isleofmondaynyc.com and mail the item back within 24 hours of delivery using the prepaid return label included with your order (or return it in person, for local pickup orders). You'll receive credit toward a future rental in the form of a discount code for the item that doesn't fit, less a $15 restocking fee for each item returned for fit, provided the returned items remain unworn beyond checking fit. If you do not notify us within 12 hours of delivery, and / or the item is not mailed back within 24 hours of delivery, the rental will be considered accepted and processed and will no longer be eligible for fit-related credit.
